Your Seneschal has survived the first Kingdom reporting period, with the 3rd quarter report submitted on time thanks to gentle reminders from Baroness Liadain and Her Avian Excellency, and copies and offers of the 2nd quarter report from Baron Steffan, Lord Eldjarn and Katja. I plan on regularly bringing an assortment of potentially useful forms (event bid, application for office, etc.) to the business and social meetings in case anybody wants one. I will not be toting the Great Big Seneschal’s Box. There’s too much stuff in there we wouldn’t need on the spur of the moment, and besides, the handle is broken off. Events We are seeking still seeking bids for College of Three Ravens 2007. See me if you need an event bid form, or just write up your bid making sure to include all of the items listed in section 2.1.9 of our Policies and Procedures. Offices Regarding the Webminister’s office: I searched minutes of all Baronial Curiae from Feb. 2004 to the present and found no indication of a proposal to make the office independent, so the Policies and Procedures are correct. The office is currently a deputy to the Chronicler. This arrangement mirrors the arrangement on the Kingdom level. Regarding the status of Equestrian activities in Thescorre: I talked with Lady Cerridwen. Her membership has expired and she is no longer available on Sundays to run practices. Because Thescorre doesn’t have a marshal, we can’t have official practices. If anyone else wants to take over the program, they are welcome to. The following offices are up as of January 1, 2007. The next term will extend to 1/09: Anyone interested in applying for one of these offices should fill out an application and get it to me by the October business meeting. This particular form is found online at our website. Note that even current officers intending to continue in their office and their deputies need to fill out the application. Selection/voting/appointments will be made at November’s business meeting. Policies and Procedures We’re heading towards the November Baronial Curia! Send any proposals for changes to our Policies and Procedures to me. Any format is acceptable; electronic formats are the easiest to process. It is my intention to publicize all proposed changes at the October business meeting, in the October Fewmet, and on the list. Since this is the October Fewmet, I should mention that no changes have been proposed to date. In Service, |
