From the Chronicler
Ravens Roost at Myrkfealin War Practice…….
Many residents of the Barony were at Myrkfaelin War Practice and witnessed our newest adult heavy weapons fighter, Julian, authorize. John the Pell officiated as Marshall in Charge for the day and at Julian’s authorization. Lady Nivah is inspecting armour. |

| M’lady Anna is seen doing some fine needlework and members of Gladique Scorpurum household fought and supported their newly authorized fighter. |

Thomas of Petersham was sported a new helm that is historically accurate. Moments before he entered the list he paused and graciously posed for a fieldshot
Vivant to all! |

………………..and Aaron’s Demo in Angel’s Keep
The Barony was strongly represented at Aaron’s Demo – a fundraiser for Aaron, a Scadian child who is in final stage renal failure awaiting a kidney transplant. Households Gladique Scoporum, Keepers of the Rolling Dragon and House Trillium donated their services as fighters, fencers, drummers, musicians, Mistress of the List, and donated many lovely items to the two long tables of treasures for the silent auction.

Lady Brianna also displayed her fierce and beautiful hawk, Clarice, and entertained with a very, very well-told bardic tale.
Also donated were aprons to Angel’s Keep, dragon-blazoned bags, canton favors and a fighter towel - all by the hand of Lady Nivah. Most notable in my mind was the helm donated by Lord Brother Boldo. It was won at the silent auction by Su Yong. She in turn immediately gifted it to Aaron – the look in his eye was only able to be described as rare priceless!!!!
Aaron was “king” for a day and chose his heavy weapons champion, m’lady Fresca and his fencing champion, Lord Fergus. All present signed a t-shirt and enjoyed the fencing and finger weaving demo as well as the medieval music demo by Lady Mairghread. Lady Nivah also had scribal and needlework demos set up alongside the lists. Lord Carlo and Lady Mairghread were invited to join Lady Alyhedis and Lord Giles in playing dancing music with drum, guitars, hammered dulcimer and recorder - which was an honor most appreciated. |

| This was an inspiring day and all present agreed a most memorable Scadian event! |

………………..and at Pax Interruptus
Although this chronicler was unable to attend Pax, she was shown photos by Lord Donal and Lady Kat. As the court report testifies(see separate article), a lovely day was had by all. This third event also experienced the classic summer weather we have been enjoying for events this year. Photos of many Thescorreans and Scadians show the day’s festivities……...
such as fencing, fighting, feasting, frowing….er..throwing, and forlornly seeking one’s favorite…... |
