by Mairghread ni Stilbheard uu Coinn

Thescorre was well represented at Steltonwald War Practice XVIII. Our own THL Pleasance de Cogniers taught a class on rolled hemming. Court was graced by the lilting new sounds of THL Matilda Bosvyle de Bellacqua as Silver Buccle Herald (not to mention all her behind the scenes activites). Word has it that beautiful scrolls were donated by Matilda. Matilda was assisted by Baroness Olivia.
Our ailing Baroness was wise to remain in the Barony as temperatures dipped to a chilly 37 degrees F Friday night

(Pittsburgh NOAA data) with visible frost as the sun rose on Saturday morning. Thursday, Saturday evening, Saturday nightand early Sunday morning saw showers or heavy downpours. However Saturday itself was near perfect weather for activities at 69 degrees F with blue sky and plentiful sunshine.
The list fields were full of Thescorrians. Lord Raibert stood in for Lord Spyke in the Seven Pearls Heavy Weapons tournament. Raibert, Vettius and Ye Jian Ying (Hawk) were among the many fighters who graced the field until 5:00 p.m. Lady Nivah assisted with heavy weapons inspections. Congratulations to Lord At

hos as Kingdom Thrown Weapons Champion!

Lady Allesandra Bentivegna da Faenza (Yasmina) numbered among the many fencers exhibiting several styles of fencing. She kindly directed Finn to Maestro Lyev Davidovitch for a very informative discourse on Heavy Fencing.
Troll was once again kept well fed with hearty fare by Lady Nivah. She was presented with a handmade basket perfect for toting future plates of vittles!! Ladies Nivah and Mairghread prepared a turkey and baked pies and other delicacies for a party hosted by Viscount Malcolm and Viscountess Tessa. Baro

n Steffan Wolfgang von Ravensburg and THL Roberta McMorland were spotted visiting the same. LordUlric and Lady Katrina of York were also camped adjacent to troll.

Dehka celebrated here birthday on Sunday. Ye Jian Ying (Hawk), our current Bardic Champion, related some fine 14th – century campside tales from the Chinese Three Kingdoms period, and Lord Carlo Gallucci and Lady Juliana de Beaujeau could be heard drumming throughout the weekend. THL Guenevere Katherine of Trail’s End was overheard swapping needlework tips as well.
Many other Thescorrians were present - past and current, and certainly enjoyed the festivities at War Practice.
