We see grass outside!! Okay, yes, it’s muddy, deer-trampled just-barely-alive grass, but the snow is finally melting. The bright dayball, light coat-temperatures, and reappearance of our driveway from the slush and ever-present drifts surely heralds the passing of the Ice Dragon. About time, eh?

Despite the nasty weather, the College of Three Ravens was absolutely wonderful. The church’s members were very nice and the classes were phenomenal. Vivant to Sorcha and Caradawc for teaching classes for the first time (felting and Turkish garb)! Vivant to the seasoned teachers who continue to share their knowledge and expertise and who make this event possible: Nezhah, Sadira, Carlo, Peregrine, Fridrikr, G.K., Solveig, Matilda, Cedric, Sigvaldi, Una, and Eldjarn.

Vivant to Kadlin, for cooking lunch for the first time (and what a delicious lunch it was!) and to Olivia & Bryn, for cooking yet another yummy period feast, as well as to all their kind and ever-efficient kitchen staff. Vivant, too, to Fridrikr and Orianna for running a great event, and to Bronwyn for doing a great job as chancellor of classes.

Finally, we thank the scribes (Pleasance, Yasmina, Collette, Roberta, Una, Eldjarn, and Matilda) for once again making sure beautiful award scrolls, as well as calligraphing 40 copies of the original tortoise scroll by Mea; we thank the Brute Squad for hauling stuff and wrangling thrones (Lionheart, Rian, and Phillipe); we thank the guards and retainers for attending us during Court (Yasmina, Spyke, Ye Jing, Katrina, Matteo, Caradawc, and Collette); and we thank Matilda and Pleasance for their excellent court heraldry. You all rock!
