| Spring Coronation - Incipient Shire of Riversedge April 14, 2007 Unto the populace of the glorious Kingdom of Æthelmearc we invite all to come to the Incipient Shire of Riversedge sponsored by the Shire of Stormsport for the Coronation of Rurik and Angelik, and celebrate the legacy of King Christopher and Queen Morgen. The coronation will be held on April 14th 2007 at Seton Catholic School, 385 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335. The site will open at 9am and will close at 10pm. The site is handicapped accessible, discretely damp, and allows for enclosed flames during feast. Their Royal Highnesses have declared that at Their Coronation they will choose Their Queen's Rapier Champion. There are showers available on site for those who will be fencing in the tourney. |
Blackstone Raid 16, Ripley, W. VA. April 29, 2007 Greetings to the citizens and friends of Aethelmearc Come join the Barony of Blackstone Mountain for its Sixteenth Annual Blackstone Raid. This year the event will occur at The Cedar Lakes Conference Center in Ripley, West Virginia. The site will open at noon on April 26 and close at noon on April 29, 2007. Every day will be filled with fighting, fencing, archery, and an arts and sciences triathlon. On Saturday there will be a sumptuous feast to delight one and all. For more information you can contact the co-autocrats Lord Kire MacUrsus, and Lord Ivan Darykson. For information on fighting please contact Lord Grimarr Bjorn. Fencers may contact Lord Richert Parion. For archery contact Baron Johannes von Solingen. Cost for this four day event is $20.00 for adults, $10.00 per child (6-17) under 5 is free. Non members will also be charged the $ 3.00 NMS. Feast is $11.00 for adults and $6.00 for children 6 to 17. There will be a family cap for feast and event fees, please check the web site for more information. Dorm beds are $6.00 per person per night. Camping is $1.00 per night per person. There is ample camping space and 400 dormitory style beds. For reservations for the event, feast, camping and dorm space contact Baroness Gwyneth Olafsdottir. You may also purchase meal tickets for the on site cafeteria directly from the Conference Center. Cedar Lakes accepts major credit cards and personal checks. Years’ End Tourneys and Championships, Endless Hills, Dalton, PA - April 28, 2007 The Barony of Endless Hills in Æthelmearc presents Years’ End Tourneys and Championships April 28th, 2007 (AS XLI – End of the SCAdian Year) 8:00 AM until 10:00 PM We invite one and all to a full day of Tournaments and Competitions – Heavy Weapons, Fencing, Equestrian Arts, Thrown Weapons, Archery, Arts and Sciences, and Bardic Performance - all will be put to the test, with special awards for Tourney/Competition winners, and the naming of the Endless Hills’ Baronial Champions! The Tournaments and Competitions are open to all, but the Baronial Champions will be selected from Barony members who compete. Inspections for all competitions begin promptly at 8:30 AM! New—The Barony of Endless Hills Cooking Guild is sponsoring a Cooking Challenge! Contact Mistress Euriol of Lothian (Cassandra Baldassano) at euriol at epix dot net for information! New! The Barony will be providing the meat dishes for a Potluck Feast, and request each family attending to sign up with the Feast Coordinator to bring a simple dish of 15 servings to share in a disposable container, with all ingredients listed on a 3x5 card. Those who don’t bring a dish will be charged $5.00 per person, age 13 and up, to partake of feast. Blackstone Raids - Barony of Blackstone Mountain April 26-29, 2007 Greetings Good Gentles, As the long winter’s night fades to early spring, we hear the rumblings of the Great Midrealm Dragon upon our tranquil borders, once again in search of the mystical black rocks that are necessary for strong steel. So, we have put out the call to our fellow countrymen to come help defend our King, Kingdom and Barony. We wish to invite and welcome you to the XVI annual Raid on Blackstone Mountain and hope that you enjoy all that our wonderful staff and friends have planned together to make this event work. |
