| Spring Coronation Incipient Shire of Riversedge Sponsored by the Shire of Stormsport April 14, 2007 Meadville, PA Unto the populace of the glorious Kingdom of Æthelmearc we invite all to come to the Incipient Shire of Riversedge sponsored by the Shire of Stormsport for the Coronation of Rurik and Angelik, and celebrate the legacy of King Christopher and Queen Morgen. The coronation will be held on April 14th 2007 at Seton Catholic School, 385 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335. The site will open at 9am and will close at 10pm. The site is handicapped accessible, discretely damp, and allows for enclosed flames during feast. Their Royal Highnesses have declared that at Their Coronation they will choose Their Queen's Rapier Champion. There are showers available on site for those who will be fencing in the tourney. The autocrat for the event is Angus MacDubh (Adam Falkenburg). A wonderful Viking feast for the first 100 gentles will follow the activities of the day. The feast will be prepared by Lady Marsi of Hadley. Any dietary concerns should be addressed to Lady Marsi. See webpage for more information. |
| Blackstone Raid XVI April 26th to April 29th 2007 Greetings Good Gentles, As the long winter’s night fades to early spring, we hear the rumblings of the Great Midrealm Dragon upon our tranquil borders, once again in search of the mystical black rocks that are necessary for strong steel. So, we have put out the call to our fellow countrymen to come help defend our King, Kingdom and Barony. We wish to invite and welcome you to the XVI annual Raid on Blackstone Mountain and hope that you enjoy all that our wonderful staff and friends have planned together to make this event work. The Barony of Endless Hills We invite one and all to a full day of Tournaments and Competitions. All will be put to the test, with special awards for Tourney/Competition winners, and the naming of the Endless Hills Baronial Champions! The Tournaments and Competitions are open to all, but the Baronial Champions will be selected from Barony members who compete. Equestrian Waivers must be signed by all attendees before signing in at troll. For easier and faster sign in, you can find the Pennsylvaina Equestrian Waiver here. There will also be waivers at troll for those who wish to fill them out at sign in. Please note that all the offlimits areas will be clearly marked and posted for your safety. o Heavy fighters and fencers - look foward to melees, bridge battles, and let's not forget the Individual Tournaments from which the Baronial Champions will be chosen. o Youth fighters - There will be youth boffer fighting. o Equestrians - try your talents at our challenge courses! There will also be a Crestfallen Tournament. o Arts and Sciences - The category is wide open with no theme. Show off your best work! o Bards - Regale the populace and awe Baron Ulrich with your most entertaining talents! o Thrown Weapons and Archers - Throw or shoot to show off your skill for the tourney and the Baron. o Brewers - Come compete in the Brewer’s Guild Competition! Four categories - Beers and Ales, Wines, Cordials, and Non-Alcoholic! o Cooking - The Barony of Endless Hills Cooking Guild is sponsoring a Cooking Challenge! o Hounds - Hound Coursing has been arranged! All hounds must have proof of rabies vaccinations and be up to date with all shots. Please contact Lord Stefan Legas at o Youth Arts Championship at Year End Tourney - Baron Ulrich Drachendonner has decreed that the Barony of Endless Hills will sponsor it’s first ever Youth Arts Championship competition right alongside the Adult Arts Championship competition. Yes, you read it right---the winner of the Youth Arts competition will be named Baronial Youth Arts Champion. Other non-resident youth are also welcome to come test their mettle against like-minded artists. Every youth entry will receive a token, and the youth resident of Endless Hills who places highest will be named the Champion. If the over all winner isn’t a resident of Endless Hills, there will be an additional prize for the winner! What’s a Youth? Anyone aged 15 or younger. |
| Rapier Academy Barony of Thescorre November 17, 2007 Rochester, NY The Barony of Thescorre is pleased to announce the return of the Rapier Academy! Join us on Saturday, November 17th 2007 at the breathtaking Main Street Armory (900 E. Main St. Rochester NY 14605) for a day of learning, fighting, comaradie and fun! The site will be open from 9am until 9pm, with first classes beginning at 10am. The site has limited handicapped accessibility, it is extremely wet, and there will be designated areas for smoking. A variety of classes will be offered, ranging from topics in Historical Combat, Leadership and Melee tactics, Tournament Fighting, Arts & Sciences in the world of Rapier, and to round out the day a grand melee in the Armory’s 34,000 sq. ft arena! The Autocrat for this event is Lady Alessandra Bentivegna da Faenza, called Yasmina, (Angelique Armstrong) The Chancellor of Classes for the event is Master Ian Muir (Ben Cooper). If you are interested in teaching a class, please contact Master Ian as soon as possible so that he can schedule it in the appropriate track. While this event will not be featuring a feast, attendees are invited to partake of an evening of fine dining at the restaurant, located on the first floor of the Armory. The owner has graciously agreed to a special event pricing for your meals. As well, concession stands will be opened throughout the afternoon in the arena. Merchants are invited to attend and showcase your wares. There is plenty of space available, and there is no Merchanting Fee to pay. If you are in need of tables they are available for $5 each.
