| With the snow on the ground, it’s hard for the birds to find nourishment. Here’s an easy craft that you can do to help them out.
Pine Cone Bird Feeders
Pine Cones
Creamy Peanut Butter
Plastic spoons
Bird Seed
Paper Plates
Yarn
Instructions:
Find all sizes of pine cones in your back yard or at the park. (If you can not find pine cones you can always pick some up at your local craft store.) Toe yarn in a large loop at end of pine cone, then coat cone in peanut butter with the spoon. Roll cones in seeds on paper plates until fully coated then hang outside for the birds.
And if you are bored and want to make some fun sculptures but do not have any clay laying around, then you can just make your own.
Craft Dough
1 cup flour
1 cup warm water
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon oil
1/4 cup salt
food coloring
Mix all ingredients, adding food coloring last. Stir over medium heat until smooth. Remove from pan and knead until blended smooth. Place in plastic bag or airtight container when cooled. Will last for a long time.
