From the Seneschal

At our last Baronial Curia we created the position of Royal Chamberlain. This will be a deputy office of the Exchequer (following the Kingdom model) and will have responsibilities as noted below. Please include this text as part of the official Policies and Procedures.

1.3.13.1         Royal Chamberlain

The Royal Chamberlain is a deputy of the Exchequer.
  • Communicate with the Crown, Heirs, and Royal retainers on behalf of autocrats and the Barony regarding Thescorre events
  • Arrange for local retainers to the Royalty as needed.
  • Solicit and coordinate donations for Royal gift baskets and Royalty room comforts as appropriate.
  • Supervise the set up, serving and clearing of high table for feast.
  • Supervise the acquisition, use and maintenance of Barony property specifically designated as Royal Regalia, including but not limited to thrones, banners, tablecloths and napkins, feast gear and serving items.
That reminds me, it has been a couple of years since the Baronial Policies and Procedures have been reviewed and reissued. I plan on doing that within the first quarter of 2008. The February business meeting will be our first Curia of 2008, so please bring any changes you’d like to have made to my attention as soon as possible so that they may be announced at the January business meeting.

The current term for the offices of Chronicler, Herald, and Archery Marshal expire on Jan. 1 2008. Donal and Sorcha will be Chroniclers for the next term and Cedric will be serving another term as Archery Marshall as well. Pleasance had intended to serve a full term as Herald but unfortunately she will no longer be able to do that due to her work schedule. She will remain as Herald until her replacement is decided. New terms are until Jan. 1, 2010. Thank you all for your service, past, present, and future.

Happy 12th Night and New Year to you all!

Peregrine
