| July 3 - 6, 2008 Twin Lakes Arts & Heritage Festival Demo Canton of Westland Mor Greeting Good Gentles! The Canton of Westland Mor and neighboring groups are sponsoring a demo at the annual Westmoreland Arts & Heritage Festival held from July 3rd through 6th at the Twin Lakes Park in Greensburg, PA! Come for an hour! Come for a day! Come for the whole weekend! This annual event draws a crowd from southwest Pennsylvania of close to 100,000 souls. It is a wonderful opportunity to show the population the joy of the SCA. A&S displays, Heavy Weapons, and Light Weapons are expected. The event opens at 11:00 am daily and closes at 8:00 pm. There is no charge to enter this Festival. |
| July 12, 2008 Children's Event Barony of Delftwood Children of the Knowne Worlde unite! This event is dedicated to you! No standing on the sidelines and watching the adults play, it's your turn! There will be Youth Boffer, A&S, Heraldry and Bardic Competitions as well as classes/activities for all ages! There will be a modest dayboard throughout the day, and no feast. AND, because they were SO WELL BEHAVED last year, under your direct supervision, we will allow your parents and guardians to accompany you throughout the day. |

| July 12, 2008 Baronial Champions Demo Barony of St. Swithin's Bog Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Bog three day event has been cancelled this year. In its place, on July 12, we will host a demonstration at the Galleria in Johnstown. We wanted to approach this demo a bit differently and decided to hold our annual Baronial Champions competition as the demo--complete with the usual heavy weapons, fencing, combat archery, and thrown weapons tournaments as well as an extensive A&S display to include some "hands-on" experience for the public. This demo will be held outdoors behind the mall in a large, grassy area. There will be a list field for tourneys, and pavilions which will host A&S displays. We will also have a small indoor set up on the first floor of the Galleria where we will run videos of Pennsic and show some of our A&S creations and let the public know that we are holding an event outside throughout the day. In case of inclement weather, the entire demonstration will be brought indoors to the first floor area where we will set up a pavilion and list area for the tourneys and the complete A&S display. |
