This past Memorial Day weekend Thescorre held its Baronial Champions Event. I greatly enjoyed observing and participating in the various martial tournaments and contests. Many skilled combatants came out and demonstrated their prowess. All the competitors have our gratitude and respect. The event was capped off by the traditional pie-themed dinner, which once again was a great success.

A Great Many Thanks to those who assisted in the kitchen, both for prep and on the day of the event, as we would not have had food without your help!

Thursday night Phelan and Mairead assisted in the massacre of many, many carrots and provided encouragement and entertainment while gingerbread was flipped and cut. Their assistance was also highly valued during the cleanup that night and at Champs as well.

On Friday, Orianna assisted in making bags and bags of pretzel dough, while Stu worked out how in the world we would get the kitchen, the food and ourselves to Champs in one vehicle.

Saturday morning saw much help from Stu in the early hours of setup, a great deal of assistance from Tom and Diane as we sorted out the kinks, and a pretzel rolling, egg peeling, stuffing making factory was created with the help of Stu, Torsten, Nikki and Felicia. Thanks also to those gentles who responded to the occasional calls for extra assistance before, during and after lunch.

Of course, thank you to Sigvaldi for your assistance on the day of the event, and to Katrina and Katja who provided much encouragement and direction during the planning phase as well.

It was a pleasure to work with you all, and thank you very much for your help.
